About Us

Ashok Memorial Foundation was registered as a charitable foundation on March 3rd 2009 in British Columbia. This foundation is in loving memory of a son, a husband, a brother and a friend, Ashok Philip Abraham.

Ashok born on April 4th, 1979 in Kuwait. He was 28 when cancer claimed him on November 27th 2007. Ashok had much to offer and everybody who made his acquaintance always found something to learn. And though cancer claimed him at such a young age, his tender heart, charm and sense of humor keeps him warm in the hearts of all who knew him. So, in dedication to such a caring soul, Ashok Memorial Foundation is focused on helping find a cure to cancer through research and better awareness.

Ashok Memorial foundation is governed by an elected volunteer Board of Directors motivated by the same driving force. The officers of the foundation are President, Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer as well four directors.

Beyond the board, we have a dedicated group of over 250 volunteers. By no small part, our volunteers with their spirited dedication in time and talents made Ashok Memorial Tournament held on July 5th 2008 a successful event.
